Real Madrid survived a dramatic finish to edge Borussia Dortmund 3–2 at MetLife Stadium. Gonzalo García and Fran García gave Madrid a 2–0 lead in the first 20 minutes. Dortmund pulled one back in stoppage time through Maximilian Beier, but Kylian Mbappé restored the two-goal advantage with a stunning bicycle kick. Serhou Guirassy converted a penalty after Dean Huijsen’s red card, but Thibaut Courtois made a crucial save to secure the win.
PSG vs Bayern Munich
PSG knocked out Bayern Munich 2–0 at Mercedes‑Benz Stadium despite being reduced to nine men. Déboré Doué broke the deadlock late in the second half, and Ousmane Dembélé sealed the win in stoppage time, timing perfect with Neuer’s red card drama and Musiala's devastating ankle injury.
Palmeiras vs Chelsea
Palmeiras came from behind twice but couldn’t hold on, falling 1–2 in Philadelphia. Cole Palmer opened the scoring in the 16th minute, before teenage sensation Estêvão equalized early in the second half. Then, a deflected cross from Malo Gusto resulted in an own goal in the 83rd minute, sending Chelsea into the semi-finals

Borussia Dortmund beat Monterrey 2–1 at the Mercedes‑Benz Arena to reach the quarter-finals. Serhou Guirassy struck twice in the first half (14′ & 24′), and though Germán Berterame pulled one back shortly after halftime, Dortmund’s defence held firm under pressure.

Gonzalo García powered in a header from a Trent Alexander‑Arnold cross in the 54th minute—his third goal of the tournament. Despite extreme heat and both sides making multiple subs, Real held firm as Kylian Mbappé made his tournament debut in the second half.
Manchester City vs Al‑Hilal
Al‑Hilal stunned Man City 4–3 in extra time at Camping World Stadium, knocking out the favorites. Bernardo Silva struck early, but Marcos Leonardo’s brace, along with goals from Malcom and Koulibaly, sealed one of the tournament’s biggest shocks. Man City responded through Haaland and Foden, but couldn’t prevent the Saudi side’s extra-time turnaround.
Inter Milan vs Fluminense
Fluminense stunned Inter Milan 2–0 in Charlotte. German Cano headed in early (3′), and substitute Hercules added a stoppage-time strike—sending the Brazilian underdogs into a thrilling quarter-final clash.
Flamengo vs Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich came from behind to beat Flamengo 4–2 at Hard Rock Stadium. An own goal from Pulgar and early strikes from Kane put Bayern in control. Flamengo hit back through Gerson and Jorginho’s penalty, but Goretzka restored the lead and Kane sealed it late with a second.
PSG vs Inter Miami
PSG demolished Inter Miami 4–0 in Atlanta to reach the quarter-finals. Joao Neves scored inside six minutes and again before halftime, an own goal from Tomás Avilés and a Hakimi header sealed a ruthless first-half performance.
Benfica vs Chelsea
Chelsea came from behind to hammer Benfica 4–1 in Charlotte. Reece James opened the scoring with a sublime free kick (64′), but Di María’s stoppage-time penalty forced extra time after a near two-hour weather delay. With Benfica down to 10 men, Nkunku, Pedro Neto, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall struck in extra time to seal a dominant victory and send Chelsea into the quarter-finals.
Palmeiras vs Botafogo
Palmeiras edged past Botafogo 1–0 in extra time at Lincoln Financial Field. Paulinho struck in the 100th minute after a dramatic delay and despite being down to 10 men, helping Palmeiras reach the quarter-finals.
Al-Hilal vs Pachuca
Al-Hilal secured a 2–0 victory over Pachuca at GEODIS Park in Nashville, advancing to the knockout stage as Group H runners-up. Salem Al-Dawsari opened the scoring in the 22nd minute with a deft chip over Pachuca goalkeeper Sebastián Jurado. Marcos Leonardo sealed the win in stoppage time, finishing a counterattack led by Rubén Neves. Goalkeeper Yassine Bounou made two crucial saves to preserve the clean sheet.
RB Salzburg vs Real Madrid

Manchester City thrashed Juventus 5–2 to top Group G. Doku opened early, an own goal from Kalulu followed, then Haaland, Foden, and Savinho added to the rout—Juve scored a consolation through Vlahović late on.
Urawa Reds vs Monterrey
Monterrey thrashed Urawa Reds 4–0 at the Rose Bowl to reach the Round of 16. Nelson Deossa’s stunning 35-yard strike kicked things off, followed by a cool finish from Germán Berterame. Jesús Corona added a long-range third before Berterame wrapped it up in stoppage time. Monterrey now face Dortmund next.
Inter Milan vs River Plate
Inter Milan secured a 2–0 win over River Plate in the Club World Cup on June 26, 2025. A first-half goal from Lautaro Martínez put the Nerazzurri ahead, and Nicolò Barella eased the nerves in the second half to book their spot in the semis.
Borussia Dortmund vs Ulsan HD
Dortmund edged Ulsan HD 1–0 at TQL Stadium to top Group F. Daniel Svensson's 36th-minute strike—set up by Jobe Bellingham—sealed the win, despite Ulsan’s goalkeeper Jo Hyeon‑woo making ten key saves in scorching Cincinnati heat.
Sundowns vs Fluminense
Mamelodi Sundowns and Fluminense played to a goalless draw in Miami Gardens. Despite dominating possession, Sundowns couldn’t break through, while goalkeeper Fábio made key stops to secure the Brazilian side’s progression to the last 16.
LAFC vs Flamengo
LAFC claimed their first-ever Club World Cup goal in a 1–1 draw with Flamengo at Camping World Stadium. Denis Bouanga struck in the 84th minute, but Flamengo responded just two minutes later through a composed Wallace Yan finish. LAFC hit the woodwork five times and keeper Hugo Lloris kept them in it, while Flamengo topped Group D unbeaten.
ES Tunis vs Chelsea
Chelsea cruised to a 3–0 victory over ES Tunis in Philadelphia to reach the Round of 16. Tosin Adarabioyo opened the scoring just before halftime, Liam Delap followed with his first Chelsea goal moments later, and Tyrique George capped things off deep in stoppage time. The win underlined both Chelsea’s squad depth and Enzo Maresca’s rotation strategy.
Auckland City vs Boca Juniors
Auckland City, the only amateur side in the tournament, earned a historic 1–1 draw against Boca Juniors in Nashville. After an own goal by goalkeeper Nathan Garrow (26′), Christian Gray, a trainee teacher, equalized with a header from Jerson Lagos' corner (52′). Despite a 50-minute weather delay, Auckland held firm against Boca's 40 shots, with Garrow making key saves to secure a memorable point.
SL Benfica vs Bayern Munich
Benfica stunned Bayern Munich 1–0 in Charlotte to top Group C. Andreas Schjelderup scored early (13′), and goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin made key saves to preserve the lead. Bayern pushed hard but couldn’t find an equaliser, finishing second in the group.
Inter Miami vs Palmeiras
Inter Miami led 2–0 after goals from Tadeo Allende (16′) and Luis Suárez (65′). But Palmeiras mounted a late comeback with goals from Paulinho (80′) and Maurício (87′) to level the match. Both teams advanced to the knockout stage, with Palmeiras topping the group on goal difference.
Porto vs Al‑Ahly
Porto and Al‑Ahly went goal-for-goal in a wild 4–4 draw in New Jersey. Abou Ali’s early hat-trick kept Al‑Ahly in front, while Porto answered through Mora, Gomes, Samu, and a late equalizer from Pepê. Despite the chaos, both fell short of advancement.
Atletico Madrid vs Botafogo
Antoine Griezmann's 87th-minute strike sealed a 1–0 win for Atletico—too little, too late. Despite dominating possession and creating 23 shots, they crashed out of Group B on goal difference behind PSG and Botafogo.
Seattle Sounders vs PSG
PSG beat Seattle Sounders 2–0 at Lumen Field to top Group B. Kvaratskhelia broke the deadlock with a deflected shot (35′), and Hakimi doubled the lead in the 66th minute. Seattle pushed hard but couldn’t break through PSG’s defense, ending their tournament run.

Man City routed Al Ain 6–0 to secure their spot in the knockout stages. Gundogan scored a brace, Echeverri with a free‑kick gem, Haaland converted a penalty, and subs Bobb & Cherki hit late goals—City showing total dominance.
RB Salzburg vs Al-Hilal
RB Salzburg and Al-Hilal battled to a goalless draw in Washington, D.C. Salzburg’s defence stood firm under an intense 99°F heat, while both keepers—Yassine Bounou and Christian Tzavieschitzky—made crucial saves to keep the score level and leave Group H wide open.
