The West Coast icon addressed Kendrick’s lyrical reference and clarified there’s no tension.

Snoop Dogg is making it clear—there’s no beef between him and Kendrick Lamar after being name-dropped on the Compton rapper’s latest album, GNX.

During an interview on The Breakfast Club, the legendary rapper was asked about Kendrick’s mention of him on the intro track, where Kendrick rapped:
“Snoop posted ‘Taylor Made,’ I prayed it was the edibles / I couldn’t believe it, it was only right for me to let it go.”

Charlamagne Tha God followed up by asking if Snoop had spoken to Kendrick after the bar, to which Snoop responded coolly, “For what? What’s there to talk about?”

He clarified that his repost of Taylor Made Freestyle, a diss track aimed at Kendrick, was a mistake and said Kendrick had every right to express himself. “That’s my lil’ homie. He spoke his mind. He said what he said,” Snoop explained. “When I got wind of it, naturally I reached out to nephew and let him know, ‘My bad, I didn’t mean that.’ And naturally, he responded the way he responded.”

Snoop emphasized that disagreements, especially among family, don’t need to escalate.
“We family. You can’t have a spat or misunderstanding with your brother or your cousin? That’s how it’s supposed to be. It ain’t supposed to get no bigger than that.”

He added: “A big dawg can get checked—if it’s by the right person with the right intellect. There’s nothing wrong with being properly put in place if you’re out of place. That’s what’s wrong with half of us—we feel like the young generation can’t tell us nothin’.”

In lighter moments from his press run, Snoop also appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, where he congratulated Rihanna and A$AP Rocky on their third child, saying, “That’s what love makes you do.”

He also shared a humorous story about smoking with Ed Sheeran and Russell Crowe in Australia.
“Yes, me, Ed Sheeran, and Russell Crowe were in Australia,” Snoop said. “I took them to a place no one has ever been to before. Brother Ed forgot how to sing, forgot how to play instruments. But I mean, I love doing things like that. I love to get people high.”
