Kali Reis continues her Hollywood rise with a major new role in Apple TV+’s ambitious upcoming series 12 12 12, joining Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan in a globe-spanning heist thriller.
Following her breakout performance alongside Jodie Foster in True Detective: Night Country, Kali Reis has officially been cast in 12 12 12, a high-stakes heist drama from Apple TV+.
A High-Octane Heist Told Across Three Timelines
According to the official synopsis, 12 12 12 unfolds across three gripping timelines:
- 12 months of planning
- 12 hours of the heist
- 12 days following the aftermath
At the heart of the story is a disgraced FBI agent (Anthony Mackie) and a notorious American criminal (Jamie Dornan), locked in a tense, zero-sum chase across Europe. Their conflict centers on an audacious raid targeting a secretive vault buried deep beneath the streets of Zurich. As the plot unravels across time and continents, alliances shift, betrayals mount, and the cost of ambition becomes deadly clear.
Mackie and Dornan not only lead the cast but also serve as executive producers on the series. The ensemble also features Jack Kesy (Deadpool 2, Claws).
Reis’ Rapid Rise in Hollywood
Before becoming a rising force in film and TV, Kali Reis earned worldwide respect as a professional boxer, holding world titles in two weight classes. She made her acclaimed acting debut in the 2021 thriller Catch the Fair One, which earned her an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Female Lead.
Reis followed that up with roles in Asphalt City (2023) and True Detective: Night Country (2024), where her performance received praise for its intensity and emotional depth. She recently appeared in Rebuilding, which premiered at Sundance 2025, and is set to appear in the upcoming films Mercy and Wind River: The Next Chapter.
