“What happens in Vegas starts with a BANG,” declares Parkwood Entertainment.

In a bold and cheeky response to legal action, Beyoncé has officially replaced the Las Vegas Sphere with Allegiant Stadium in her Cowboy Carter Tour visuals. The update follows a cease-and-desist letter from Sphere Entertainment Co., which objected to the unlicensed use of their iconic venue in the tour’s original concert footage.
The original visual, titled Attack of the 400 Foot Cowboy, featured a towering Beyoncé plucking the spherical venue from the Las Vegas skyline. However, fans attending her third night at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles (May 4) noticed a new edit—now, the global superstar lifts Allegiant Stadium instead, a clear swap designed to sidestep legal conflict while keeping the spectacle intact.
The morning after the update debuted, Beyoncé’s team at Parkwood Entertainment posted the revised clip on Instagram with the caption:
“What happens in Vegas starts with a BANG.”
Fans instantly caught the shade.
“Bey really said ‘you want petty? here’s petty,’” wrote one follower.
Another added, “Oh the shade 😂.”
The switch-up comes just days after reports emerged that Sphere CEO James Dolan’s attorneys had demanded Beyoncé remove the venue from her show due to unauthorized use and alleged “manipulation” of its likeness. The letter also cited potential fan confusion, suggesting the visual had sparked speculation that Beyoncé might conclude her tour with a Las Vegas residency at the Sphere—when, in fact, she’s set to wrap up at Allegiant Stadium in July.
Before the controversy, the Sphere had been one of many iconic global structures Beyoncé interacted with during the visual interlude. Others included the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Statue of Liberty in New York, and the Washington Monument in D.C., all playing into the oversized, glamorously surreal tone of the tour.
Beyoncé continues the U.S. leg of the Cowboy Carter Tour with additional shows at SoFi Stadium before heading to Chicago and East Rutherford, N.J. The international leg kicks off in June with stops in London and Paris, followed by a return to the U.S. for shows in Texas, Maryland, and Georgia—culminating with her final performances in Nevada.
